Angela Long’s education and professional background has provided her with extensive organizational, managerial and coaching experience. She has experience on the pro, college, high school, and elementary level teaching, coaching and working in the athletic department. She has also worked for the Akron Racers Professional Softball team as Manager of Tournaments, Clinics and Camps. Before moving to Ohio, Angela was a successful NCAA Division II coach for 5 years. Her coaching experience has given her a background in recruiting; monitoring academic progress; advising, facility maintenance; community outreach; and fundraising, pre-season conditioning and weight training, and practice and game coaching.
Long is currently completing her Masters degree in Sports Management and Coaching at Southern New Hampshire University. Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Physical Education with a minor in Coaching and Sports Administration. Her under graduate studies included a comprehensive education in sports administration, coaching, anatomy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, management concepts in sport and fitness settings, health and wellness, and athletic training.
While in Maryland, Long developed a Baseball and Softball training company called Play Ball! LLC. Play Ball! That served the Metropolitan Washington area region. The service provided cutting edge training and instruction that helped develop a player’s ability and master the fundamentals of the game. She also worked along side of Mike Toomey, currently Special Assistant to KC Royals general manager Dayton Moore, doing various private lessons and clinics.
